Pregnancy Pounds Gone! (Almost)

I’ve never been one to have a scale in my bathroom, but I bought one today out of curiosity about how much of the baby weight I had lost. Much to my surprise, I stepped on the scale to discover that all but 5 lbs is gone already! I think I was so surprised because I feel like all I do is eat!

Anyway… I was able to get a good 45 minute ride in on my Spinning bike this morning. Naturally, I was famished when I finished my ride so I made myself a nice lunch – turkey, light mayo, and spinach on a whole wheat tortilla, along with some baby carrots and roasted red pepper hummus.

Snacks this afternoon included the usual: banana, apple, grapes, almonds, and Mary’s Gone Crackers.

For dinner I made myself a HUGE, tasty salad with romain lettuce, spinach, carrots, roma tomatoes, red onion, garbanzo beans, tuna, and homemade balsamic vinaigrette (olive oil, balsamic vinegar, yellow mustard, and black pepper). I also toasted a slice of Food for Life 7 sprouted grain bread. Nothing fancy, but it hit the spot tonight! I almost got a salad at Qdoba, but I’m glad I waited to make my own salad at home.
