Sister Time!

I was lucky enough to get more sleep last night than I’ve been getting lately. I was still feeling pretty exhausted when I was woken up for the day by baby at 6:45.

Breakfast was pretty standard – Banana Bread Oatmeal with scrambled egg/egg whites.

Before heading out for some errands late morning, I had a snack – plain Oikoswith Stevia and cocoa powder, and an apple.

BTW – If you’ve been following this blog for a while, you know that I have been avoiding dairy for the last few months because it bothers baby’s tummy. Well, I’ve started eating Greek yogurt and it doesn’t seem to be bothering her! I think it may be because all the whey is strained from the yogurt. Whatever it is, I’m hoping to slowly reintroduce dairy into my diet (although I’ve really grown to love almond milk!).

On my way to do errands, I stopped at my dad’s house and picked up my little sister (she’s 12). She came with me on my errands and then came back here to the house with me for lunch and an afternoon of Yahtzee! 😀 It was fun to have some one-on-one time with her. We used to spend so much time together before I moved away a couple years ago.

For lunch, we had chicken salad with light mayo and red onion, lettuce, and pickles on La Tortilla Factory whole wheat tortillas. We also snacked on some blueberries.

It was nothing fancy here for dinner – Spaghetti Squash Spaghetti with Ground Turkey Meat Sauce. This was a really good squash!!

After I put baby to bed, I went into the basement to ride my Spinning bike. I have to be honest though – I was not feeling it tonight. I just couldn’t do it. I knew I should exercise but my legs just weren’t having it. Plus I’m so tired I just didn’t have the energy for it. Oh well. I’m planning to spend the day outside walking with my mom tomorrow so I’ll make up for it. Some days it’s good to push yourself; other days it’s not. Today was one of those days when it just wouldn’t have been beneficial to push myself through a long ride.

I’m not gonna lie though – I already feel a little guilty about not exercising tonight; especially since I didn’t get much exercise this weekend.

Do you suffer from exercise guilt when you skip a workout??
